Ian Stark has been inducted into the Scottish Sports Hall of Fame. During his career, Ian amassed 18 international medals as one of the all time fan favorite eventers. If you've ever ridden with Ian, I'm sure you'll never forget the F-word: "FORWARD." Congrats Ian!

This didn't seem quite appropriate for the hompage, but Ian used to give a clinic along with our Young Riders camp. We would bet on the number of riders he would get to cry. The over-under was usually 3-4 per day. Ian is a tremendous coach, and a consummate gentleman, but he is very firm in asking riders to be more forward. Even the criers learned a lot, perhaps the most.
It was always interesting to me that even though probably every rider on the planet agrees that being forward is important, Ian makes a living as a clinician showing people that they can be more forward or that they can be forward more properly.
