USEF Adds Titanium and Kheops to the Short List

As promised, the USEF has added two horses to the 16 pairs already named to the US eventing short list for the World Equestrian Games.  The two pairs added Monday are:

Buck Davidson and Titanium
Phillip Dutton and Kheops du Quesnay

These two and the previous 16 pairs on the short list will be submitted to the FEI as the Nominated Entry for the WEGs on August 16th, and the short list pairs that still intend on going to the Games will compete at the mandatory outing during the AECs.

Stephen Bradley and Brandenburg's Joshua
Phillip Dutton and Connaught
Holly Hudspeth and Last Monarch
Kim Severson and Tipperary Liadhnan
Allison Springer and Arthur
Buck Davidson and BallyNoe Castle RM
Buck Davidson and My Boy Bobby
Phillip Dutton and The Foreman
Phillip Dutton and TruLuck
Phillip Dutton and Woodburn
Will Faudree and Pawlow
Becky Holder and Courageous Comet
Boyd Martin and Neville Bardos
Boyd Martin and Remington XXV
Karen O'Connor and Mandiba
Amy Tryon and Leyland

Phillip now has a staggering 5 horses on the short list, and Buck and Phillip combined represent nearly half of the short list.  Barring an injury to either Buck or Phillip, I am convinced they will be riding at the WEGs.  Neither Titanium or Kheops are likely to play a factor in team selection due to their lack of experience--Kheops is the only horse on the list to have never competed in a CCI4*.  The only real note today is considering the horses that the USEF passed up on adding as the final two, such as perhaps Rock on Rose or a couple of other 3* horses.  Go eventing.

Is Good Witch not in consideration because of the bad luck at Rolex the last two years? It is a shame since she jumped around Luhmuhlen well.

I'm so disappointed. Jen Wooten and The Good Witch deserve to be on that list. This has turned into a Buck and Phil show.

Looks like we should bubble wrap Phillip and Buck until WEG.

I love Rock On Rose...a lot...but I'm not surprised at all that she isn't on the list. She did fantastic at Rolex...but she has been a bit inconsistent in the past. Such as standing up during dressage...or at the start box...she is a red-headed girl! I think she and Boyd need a few more big time outings to show that she is through that phase (or really that Boyd can manage her and get her cooperation on a consistent basis--which seems to be there but just needs more of a track record). Good honest jumping horse though...they may be a pair for 2012.

The ridiculousness of adding a FIFTH horse for Phillip cannot be overstated. Really? He needs FIVE horses on the list, including one who has not run a 4*?

Buck and PD should be wrapped in bubble for the next 3 months or not allowed anywhere near any 1200 lb animals.

On another note, what is the relevance of the picture to the post?

Wow, I guess they really want Phillip on the team!
I feel for the Good Witches'team, she really deserves to be on the short list

This is my favorite spoof photo yet...an idiot grandstanding...the introduction of a few more idiots to the bunch of idiots...or maybe just plain heralding the parade of pandas? Anyway, got a good laugh out of me.

As everyone seems to have noticed, my photo selections for posts always have a purpose or point related to the article even if they are ridiculous. I'm very particular in picking my photos, and often times they make a subtle point underneath the relatively obvious point. This photo straight up made me laugh, so I had to include it, but I was getting at the fact that today's additions seemed relatively inconsequential. Everything I hear is that Woodburn is locked and loaded.

This is also my favorite photo!! I am still laughing, it makes me smile every time I click on EN............TX John :)

Why in the world would anyone be sarcastic about phillip and Buck? We are so lucky to have them. Does anyone need to be reminded about the 2008 olympics?

You mean where Phillip got a DQ? Those Olympics?

user-pic

And the cell phone at Rolex...another DQ if the GJ hadn't been asleep at the wheel...and I'm a PD fan so please everyone around him, imprint the damn rulebook on his brain, do it for your country....consider it a civic duty!

user-pic

At least he was good enough to get round and as of yet, haven't read the rule in the book that says you can't use a cell phone while stopped on course to find out what the owner wants you to do with the horse you are sitting on. Are either of you at Olympic level because if you are i will listen to you, until then be grateful that the US may go to Kentucky with a CHANCE to medal--a large part due to Phillip and Buck.

user-pic

actually Fluffer....using a Cell phone while on course is expressly against the rules. We all understand why he did it...and agree that it is thoughtful...but it is considered unauthorized assistance by the rules. He could decide to Retire the horse on course and then call the owner...but once out on course...he is on his own (whether we agree with the rule or not). I'm sure PD knows that rule now...and no, before he did it...I didn't know about that rule either.

Caring For Your Wooden Cutting Board, chaussure louboutin pas cher

Researchers have found that bacteria have a tougher time surviving on wood cutting boards. However, nike soccer cleats, plastic cutting boards are less porous than wood,Christian Louboutin, making it less likely to harbor bacteria over a long period of time, soccer cleats, but only if it is immediately cleaned. Here are a few tips to caring for your cutting board.1. It is best to apply the oil slightly warm and with a soft cloth in the direction on the grain. Warming the oil allows it to penetrate deeper into the wood. "Season" your board by applying mineral or butcher block oil and letting it soak into the wood for 15-30 minutes. Apply 4-6 coats before using the board.2. Oil your cutting board when it looks dry, polo ralph lauren shirts, sometimes as frequently as once a week. If you allow your board to become dry it may begin to crack.3. Scrub and wash your cutting board with soap and water but don't immerse it completely in water. In addition, polo ralph lauren, don't put your wooden cutting board in the dishwasher because it will warp the wood.4. Spraying vinegar on your cutting board with a spray bottle is a good way to sanitize it. Using bleach on a wood cutting board isn't a good idea because it is not as effective because the organic composition of wood neutralizes the disinfectant quality of bleach.Daniel Urmann is a contributor and author for the website Vermont Cutting Boards.
