If you have about half an hour you can read the entire ruling posted below for yourself, but if not, I'll try and give you a synopsis.

Nice job Samantha and good luck Peter!
Well done, Samantha. Just finished reading some of the court documents and your summary was actually kind to L.Martin. Here's hoping Peter and Henny can remain together!
Go Peter! We wish you the best. I really hope things go your and Henny's way!
It surprises me that an animal can be treated in a court settlement as if it was an inanimate object, the same as a diamond ring or a sailboat. Doesn't that potentially put the horse's welfare at risk? Who in the court system was the advocate for the horse, anyone? (just curious, as usual)
Whats the reserve on Henry? Mums going to buy me a new horse.
Does he come with the helmet cam if we buy him? Mum wants to know...
I think he comes with a three year-old. Does she want a grandkid? ;-)
She already has a few she doesn't know about!
I am very curious to hear Linda's side of the story - although I am thrilled with Peter and 100% believe he should have the horse - I can't help but think the stories we have heard are all slightly skewed.
Also, who will get the money from Henny;s sale? Did I miss something?
@Annie: Linda's side of the story is in the 32-pg court document that you can read further down. You can't get it less skewed than that - under oath?
You can also see who gets the money from Henny's sale in the same document.
this is the exact same thing that happened to Amy tryon's Coal Creek! She Lost the horse unfortunately!!! You guys have to get signed agreements so that this doesn't happen in the future and the horses can maintain their partnerships with you... Good luck..
Agree that Samantha's summary was very kind to Ms. Martin. Much kinder than the judge was about Ms. Martin's testimony under oath. As the opinion states, "The Court finds that Martin's credibility lacked credibility on many fronts"..."(p. 1) and "Martin's assertions [about one of the disputed facts], like much of her testimony, lack truthfulness." So, Annie, if you had heard her side of the story it might also be considered slightly skewed.
If you read the 32 page court document you will see that Samantha is being very kind by _not_ telling Linda's side of the story.
Does anybody know where the auction will be held and by whom? I should think a small town in northern Vermont would be an ideal spot to auction off a horse one might like to keep. How is that all going to play out and when??
Thank you Samantha, great synopsis.
I'm sure it's just my loving opinion of the eventing community, but since this story is so well known in the community, is anyone else actually going to bid? Doesn't every other rider at that level want Henny to end up with Peter? Wouldn't you worry how much it would tarnish your image if you out bid Peter? If I were a fan/follower/reader/groupie of a rider who "stole" Henny out from under Peter, I would stop being a fan/follower/reader/groupie.
Does anyone know anyone who's thinking about bidding?
Thanks for this "unbiased" reporting of the issue.
