ABERJACK IS AVAILABLE!

aberjack.jpg
Description:

16.1h, bay stallion, 7/8 Tb, 1990
by Aberlou tb x Miss Charlie NZSH,
by Ranger NZSH.

Due to the downsizing of the University of Massachusett's equine program, the incomparable Aberjack is in need of a qualified home and breeding program.  Aberjack is currently the  leading event sire in the US., He is now 21 years old, still fertile and breeding and producing some of the best event horses in the country.  Some of his get include Buck Davidson's Absolute Liberty, Boyd Martin's Crackerjack and Courtney Cooper's Who's a Star.

Aberjack was imported from New Zealand to England by Mark Todd, competed successfully through the advanced level and then was sent to the US to be stood at stud at Denny Emerson's Tamarack Hill Farm.  At the time, Denny and May ran a very vigorous breeding program and stood several other stallions as well.

Eventually Denny curtailed his breeding program and sent his remaining stallions to other facilities.  Aberjack went to  the University of Mass., where he stood at stud for several years and was exercised lightly. He needs to be moved from U. Mass. as soon as possible, and Denny and May Emerson are open to any legitimate options.  The objective to the Emersons is humane lifetime care for Aberjack rather than any income to them.

Cute, Promising Prospect!

dsc01126q.jpg

img0072hi.jpg
Description:
Dee is a 2006, 16.2h TB mare. She came off the track at the end of her 3 year old year. Only started a few times and retired sound. She had a very easy year as a 4 year old, with 6 months off to let down. The other 6 months, she learned how to walk, trot, canter, hack out and jump small gymnastic grids.

She is now coming 5 and currently in training with a professional event rider in Orange, MA. She is now learning to travel round and soft, and is now able to canter small jumps. She is brave and athletic, though still very green, over fences. Though green, she tries hard and continues to improve in her flat work and over fences.

Dee hacks out happily alone or with company. I've trailered her all over for lessons, and I can load and unload her by myself with no problems. She settles right in wherever we go - just unload and hop on!

She is a very attractive young horse, and I think that she will be a great young prospect for someone with the time and experience to bring her along. Sadly, I am beginning grad school and just can't giver her the attention that she deserves.
