Description: Rolling Stone VT or "Rahlee" is a coming 3 year old gelding by Royal Appearance out of the Hanoverian cross mare Darjeeling. Rahlee's sire Royal Appearance is by the legendary stallion Riverman out of a Lord Calando mare. In 2001 Royal Appearance earned the title of Reserve Champion 6 year old at the American Young Jumper Championships under Margie Goldstein-Engle. Rahlee's dam, Darjeeling (from the Darling Hanoverian line) was trained and competed through Grand Prix dressage by her amateur owner.
Rahlee's siblings in eventing include Clark Montgomery's 3* horse Royal Raconteur, Royal Alyance who was Champion Yearling Colt/Gelding and Reserve Champion Yearling at the 2009 USEA Future Event Horse Championships, and Rubicon VT who won the yearling colt class with an 83% and took Reserve Grand Champion at the 2009 BREA FEH show. Other relatives in eventing include Team Express Eventing's Slate River who finished Rolex in 2011 under Heather Morris, and Kristi Nunnick's mare R-star who finished 8th at the 2011 Fair Hill CCI3*.
Rolling Stone has a solid conformation, personable and bold temperament, elastic freedom of the shoulder that should make him a star in the dressage ring, and the powerful hindquarters to make him an excellent jumper. He has been handled daily since weaning. Stands for bathing, grooming, the vet, and farrier. He wears a bridle and surcingle comfortably and is beginning work on the lunge line. He has never been downhill, unbalanced or gone through a growthy ugly phase. He should mature to 16hh.
Rolling Stone is built and bred to be a star!
Price: This quality gelding is a steal at $10,000, but is priced to sell quickly.
