Description: Take A Chance On Me is a 1997 15.2H chestnut TB mare. She is a cute mover and very obedient in dressage, a careful and scopey jumper and brave/bold and safe on cross country and can be ridden in a rubber snaffle for all three phases. She has a top ten placing in a CCI* and completed a CCI** and has loads of upper level horse trial experience. This mare now deserves to 'semi-retire' to a home where she can have a blast building confidence in her new rider at lower level events. Description: I am a well coached Adult Amateur with previous young rider experience through CCI* level (a million years ago, to be exact).  Currently, my confidence is in the toilet and i need a reliable, sound partner who will forgive my occasional missed distance and enjoy packing me around a few one stars, potentially more if I get my $hit together.  I prefer a bit of a kick-on ride and don't mind letting my horse figure out the distance for himself/herself if it wants to.  I'm fairly capable on the flat and can create an appropriate canter.  Soundness is paramount as I have just had to retire my would-be comeback horse and have a several other retirees to support.  Prefer 16-17hh (16.1-16.3 ideal), age 7-13ish, very experienced and steady, nice mover/flat work and clean showjumper a great bonus.  I live in Ontario but will travel to see promising horses.  My coach is in Ocala for the season.  Excellent longterm home with awesome turnout/grazing and daily pampering guaranteed.  Resonable but not extravagant budget.

Watson's Bruin, green but gorgeous

watsonsbruin.JPG
Description:
Bruin is at least 17hh and might be a bit over.  He has been a slow developer and only stopped growing this Spring.  As a result he has not done nearly as much as the average six year old.  As a three year old I thought he was going to finish growing at about 15.2hh!!!  Each year he has grown 3-4 inches since and we have only kept him in light work so that his joints could fully develop.  He is now fully mature and has blossomed into a beautiful animal.  He is not hot but requires a quiet experienced rider as he is sensitive in the true meaning of the word.  This makes him a delight to ride with quiet easy aids and a happy mouth snaffle.  Bruin is just starting his competitive career in July '10 and has done very little jumping.  He is however, willing and well trained at his level.  Good basics, lots of hacking in company and on his own.  He is not spooky in the ring or on the trails.  Bruin's price is right because of his slow start.

Adjectives: Sweet, Eye-catching, Willing

Price: Category C($15,000-$30,000)

Description: Crosby has a great track record at Novice and is showing the same calm easy attitude at Training.  He is good in dressage and absolutely fabulous in XC and Show Jumping.  Almost always finishes on his dressage score, in the ribbons every time out.  He is particularly good looking, classical conformation, lovely mover.   Just as successful as a jumper or a hunter due to his relaxed attitude and beautiful schooling. Brave and relaxed he does all three phases in a happy mouth snaffle and a light contact.  NOT hot in any way.  Lots of scope and ability, easy YR prospect.  Ready to go Prelim next season.
